Hi, I'm Juliet Patrick, and I've spent years running small businesses in the real world. Not from an office, but hands-on and in the thick of it. First a marquee hire business, then a horse rug cleaning business. Both built from scratch, both eventually sold for a profit.
I know what it's like to spend all day doing the work, then come home to an evening of chasing invoices, booking jobs and answering emails, trying to keep all the plates spinning. When you're running a small business, there's rarely enough time or money to do everything the way you'd like.
You're the person doing the work, answering the phone, dealing with customers, sending invoices and trying to keep the whole thing moving. I know how that feels.
Why I started In The Field AI.
I started In The Field AI because so much advice about AI, productivity and business software is aimed at companies with IT departments and money to spare. Sole traders and microbusinesses are often left to figure things out for themselves.
I've been running businesses for years, so I know how quickly the day-to-day stuff can become a headache. I wanted to create something practical for people doing everything themselves.
I'm not here to turn you into a tech expert or persuade you that AI is the answer to everything. I look at what's making your business harder to run than it needs to be, then help you find a better way of doing things.
Whether that's sorting out enquiries, keeping track of payments, getting your GDPR basics in order or finding a useful way to use AI, the aim is the same: make your business work better, without unnecessary software, complicated processes or spending money you don't have.
